cforce mini gear type

This range of focus gears was developed to solve a common issue encountered on rehoused lenses with recessed iris rings, where standard ARRI cforce Mini gears cannot reach the lens gear without interference.

The original request was for a push-on adapter gear to convert the ARRI m0.8 40 tooth gear into an offset 80 tooth gear, providing clearance while maintaining reliable engagement. From that starting point, the range was expanded to include direct-attach and extended-width gears to cover a variety of focus and iris configurations.

All gears in this range have been tested on ARRI cforce Mini motors. Based on mechanical compatibility, they should also work on ARRI CLM-5 motors, however these have not been tested and compatibility cannot be guaranteed.

This product is sold as a single product with multiple variations, allowing you to select the gear configuration that best suits your setup.

AVAILABLE VARIATIONS

  • m0.8 40 tooth to m0.8 80 tooth push-on adapter gear with 8mm offset

  • m0.8 80 tooth direct-attach gear with 8mm offset, reuses your original ARRI fixing screw

  • m0.8 40 tooth extra-wide gear with 25mm face width, reuses your original ARRI fixing screw

  • m0.8 40 tooth standard gear with 8mm face width, reuses your original ARRI fixing screw

CUSTOM OPTIONS

Custom tooth counts, offsets, and widths can be made to order. If you have a specific lens, clearance issue, or motor configuration, get in touch to discuss a custom solution.

STORAGE OPTIONS

Optional Gridfinity-compatible stacking bins are available in 6u height.
An optional custom 3x4x6u Gridfinity PETG storage box is also available, and can be personalised with your name on request.

MATERIAL

The gears are manufactured from PLA+, a durable and impact-resistant polymer well suited to on-set use where low weight and consistent meshing are critical.

PRODUCTION AND TURNAROUND

All gears are made on demand. If you require an unusually fast turnaround for a shoot or prep deadline, get in touch and I can usually accommodate expedited production.
