Extra-clearance cForce gears for difficult gimbal builds and longer lenses.
These extra-offset cForce gears were developed for a tricky Ronin 2 gimbal build where longer lenses made it impossible to mount an iris motor in the usual position. The vertical posts of the Ronin 2 were getting in the way, so additional clearance was needed between the lens gear and motor.
A 34mm offset moves the gear further out from the lens, while retaining the standard 8mm gear thickness, giving a total gear depth of 42mm.
The solution proved useful enough that the second unit on the job ended up buying one too.
Available in both standard M0.8 60T and Panavision M0.4 120T pitches, making them useful across a range of cine lenses and motor setups.
Iris only
Because of the combination of the large diameter and extended offset, these gears are recommended for iris control only.
The extra leverage created by the 34mm offset makes them unsuitable for focus or zoom, where significantly higher torque can be required. Keeping them on iris also avoids putting unnecessary load through the gear, lens and motor.
