Handle Type

This listing covers B-stock wooden camera handles across the cineAKS range.

B-stock handles are fully functional, structurally sound, and safe to use, but did not pass my internal quality control for cosmetic reasons. No defective or compromised products are sold.

B-stock handles may include one or more of the following:

  • Slightly outside nominal diameter tolerance

  • Minor surface imperfections

  • Visible tooling or machining marks

  • Minor tear-out in the timber

  • Small finishing inconsistencies

These imperfections are purely cosmetic. Function, strength, and mounting hardware are identical to standard products.

I sell B-stock handles for three reasons:

  1. Environmental responsibility - wasting usable hardwood isn’t acceptable

  2. Accessibility - students and early-career filmmakers deserve good tools

  3. Real-world use - some gear gets used hard and earns its marks quickly anyway

These handles did not meet my own high cosmetic standards — that is the only reason they are listed here.

Availability will be sporadic and unpredictable. In an ideal world, this product would never exist.
