Each kit includes:

- TPU eyecup
- Hinge immobiliser bracket
- Rod clamp thumb screw
- Genuine BlueStar Oval Fullback chamois eye cushion
- Spare set of o-rings for attachment
The custom parts are 3D-printed from PLA+ for a dependable balance of rigidity and durability. The eyecup is printed from 95A TPU for predictable, comfortable flex. The loupe and hinge components are assembled without adhesives, and all parts can be replaced individually on a print-on-demand basis if ever needed.
Optical Design & Compatibility
The loupe uses a fixed +4 glass diopter, meaning it does not include focus adjustment. This non-focusable optical design has been tested extensively and performs well for most users — including those who wear glasses.
However, because it cannot be adjusted for individual eyesight variations, some prescriptions or eye conditions may make it unsuitable. To date, out of many customers and test users, there have been only two cases where focus could not be achieved. Those customers both had particularly strong prescriptions and were also unable to use several other brand-name loupes.
Transparency note: This is a non-focusable diopter. If you have an uncommon or extreme prescription, please consider this before purchasing. For most users, the loupe works exactly as intended.
Hinge Immobiliser Design
The hinge immobiliser relocates the pivot point closer to the eyepiece for smoother, more stable adjustment. It also includes an integrated cable clip for the LCD cable. The bracket completely disables the original hinge movement, transferring all rotation control to the LCD rod clamp.
The system is fully toolless and can be attached or removed in seconds — as can the loupe itself.
A secondary loupe housing with touchscreen access (for autofocus touch tracking and on-screen menu navigation) is in development. It will be released as an affordable, user-replaceable upgrade when ready.
Production & Finish
Note: These are small-batch 3D-printed parts, not injection-moulded components. Minor aesthetic imperfections may be visible, but each item is fully tested and functions as described.
As with all thermoplastics, avoid prolonged exposure to high heat — though in real-world use this should not present any issue.
